Custom Software Development
Instead of bending your business to fit a product, we build the software around how you already work.
The situation
Off-the-shelf tools never quite fit. Your team patches the gaps with spreadsheets, group chats and paper. The same figure gets entered in three places and nobody is sure which one is right. As the business grows, so do the gaps.
→Our approach
We start by mapping how the work actually happens — not what the process document says, but what people do. Then we build to that. The system stays fast as it grows, new features don't break old ones, and updates ship without your users noticing.
Who it's for
- Companies whose processes don't fit standard products
- Teams running operations across spreadsheets and chat threads
- Founders building a product without an in-house engineering team
- Businesses stitching several disconnected tools together by hand
What's included
- A prioritised roadmap that explains what we're building and why
- Roles and permissions: who sees what, who can change what
- A clean, backed-up data model built to grow
- An integration layer so your tools actually talk to each other
- Automated tests on every change, with releases you can roll back
- Error and performance monitoring after launch
Process
Mapping the work
We spend a day where the work happens, tracing how it really flows, where it stalls, and which steps turn out to be unnecessary.
Laying foundations
Authentication, permissions, data model and admin first. These are the parts that cost the most to change later.
Shipping in slices
Every two weeks you get something working. You use it, and if the direction is wrong we correct it early.
Load and security testing
Behaviour under real volume, permission gaps and data integrity all get tested before launch.
Launch and handover
We go live, walk your team through it, and hand over documentation and full ownership of the code.
Common questions
How does a custom software project actually run?
It starts with discovery: we map how the work happens and agree on what we're solving. Architecture and interface design follow. Development runs in two-week cycles, and you see something working at the end of each one. Testing, launch and handover close it out. If you need to change direction mid-project, you can — that's the point of shipping in slices.
How long does a software project take?
It depends on scope. A focused application covering one process is usually 6-10 weeks. A system spanning several departments with integrations runs 3-6 months. After a discovery call we give you a phased schedule rather than a vague range.
Who owns the software?
You do. The source code, database and infrastructure accounts are all in your name and handed over at the end. We don't build in technical lock-in to keep you as a client.
What happens once the project ends?
We can stay on for maintenance and new features, or hand everything to your own team. Either way you get documentation, setup instructions and the reasoning behind the architectural decisions in writing.
If you have a question, let us start there.
Tell us what you are trying to do. On the first call we will tell you whether we are the right fit, roughly how long it takes and how we would approach it. No sales pitch.
